NMRIRB Exemption Agreement with the Government of Nunavut Department of Culture and Heritage
The NMRIRB and GN CH have signed an exemption agreement that exempts Avataq Cultural Institute projects requiring a class 1 or 2 archaeological permit from NMRIRB screening. The exemption is applicable to research projects being submitted and conducted by Avataq Cultural Institute and applicable to Zone A of the Nunavik Marine Region (NMR).
