Strategic Plan

Beginning in fiscal year 2021 – 2022, the NMRIRB will develop a five-year Strategic Plan that will become effective April 1, 2022.  This plan will focus on the operations from 2022 to 2027.  The strategic plan will provide a comprehensive overview of the Board’s mandated functions and duties, establishing the objectives of the organization which will focus on areas targeted for improvement based on operations spanning the first implementation period for the Nunavik Inuit Land Claims Agreement (NILCA).

The Strategic Plan will have priority areas and goals for the NMRIRB moving forward and will deal with conducting high quality impact assessments, maintaining long-term organizational stability, reflecting the principles of Inuit Traditional Knowledge, the promotion of public confidence and participation in NMRIRB’s processes and how the NMRIRB will collaborate with transboundary institutions with similar mandates and objectives.
